Emma Bossons FRSA

In a career that started at Moorcroft at the tender age of 20, Emma’s work has fast become extraordinarily popular with collectors all over the world. Moorcroft’s youngest designer exploded onto the scene with her Hepatica range, the great Moorcroft success of 2000, and immediately followed this with Queen’s Choice, Moorcroft’s best seller for 2001. For 2002 Emma's Golden Jubilee design was judged to be of sufficiently high quality for the Queen to consent to the use of the Royal Cypher on the base of each piece in the collection. A string of successful limited editions endorse the phenomenal success of a young designer said by serious commentators to be the Moorcroft Design Studio member carrying the mantle of the art pottery’s founding father, William. Perennial favourite ranges Anemone Tribute, and Sea Holly are still to be found in Moorcroft's design presentation, as too is Queens Choice.

For 2011, Emma has designed Pigalle a numbered edition jug featuring Parisian dancing girls in addition to a trio of limited editions Cottingley, Deep Waters and Moonlight Flight. The former features a mischevious fairy and an elf hidden amongst cornflowers and violets, inspired by the famous fairies alleged to have been found at the bottom of the garden in Cottingley village. Deep Waters is a rare edition of only 50 pieces and took Emma three years to complete from design concept, to completed vase. Last but by no means least, Moonlight Flight is one of the fast sell out ranges for 2011, and its trio of barn owls have taken flight from retailers shelves are are seldom to be found now.
